The parents watched TV.
Some of them drank too much.
Some of them argued too much.
They were tired from all the work.
And all the NEWS which was too much for anyone to bear.
On top of all the bills.
Their kids burned with hope and frustration, like they had.
Or nihilism and confusion.
Wading through a sea of information.
Crashing waves.
Knowing too much.
Doubt.
Being the whole world & one small thing, for a half nothing of time.
Love racing in veins.
Beauty and excitement at any turn, newness & wonder at This! and That!
Everything feeling too much,
to bear, to be, a part of it all.
A CHORUS OF VOICES for every feeling ever felt,
yet loneliness at ever turn.
Greed.
The killer, the [father] of need.
